Shot on location in LaPaz, Mexico at the Sea of Cortez, The Beach Club at Costa Baja Resort was the shoot location for our Gladys team.

Created by, C. Casey Bennett in 1996, Bikini Destinations was an early pioneer in the world of high definition television programming.  Casey’s formula was genius, each dynamic episode travels the globe with a handful of gorgeous swimsuit models and places them against some of the most exotic and iconic backdrops a country has to offer.  In keeping with this tradition of always being on the cutting edge of technology, Bikini Destinations has already completed an episode in 3D.  This exciting chapter of Bikini Destinations in 3D has only just begun, stay tuned.

From the pristine white sand beaches of Brazil to the exotic islands of Tahiti, each episode follows top swimsuit models on shoots the world over.  Many of the models have gone on to stardom.  Kelly Monaco became the very first winner of the hit show “Dancing With the Stars”; Tara Conner went on to become Miss USA.  The original host for Bikini Destinations Jenn Brown has gone on to a very successful career with ESPN.  

On location host Lisa Gleave, of “Deal or No Deal fame”,  not only does an excellent job of hosting, she is also the stylist for the show. Lisa’s flair for fashion and keen eye for color and “accessorizing” make her an invaluable member of the BD Team. Lisa embodies the perfect selection for Gladys Magazine to celebrate.

Bikini Destinations currently airs domestically on HDNET and internationally in over 100 countries.

In addition, Gladys is honored to publish an article written by All My Children's Vincent Irizarry. The article, autobiographical in nature is about an event that happened to Vincent as an 8 year-old-boy living in NYC during the week of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event had such a profound effect on Vincent, so much so, that after more than 40 years he had decided to put it to ink and paper. You won't want to miss this thought-provoking, relevant story.
