Follow on Google News | Lighthouse of Broward Appoints Mary Harris to BoardMary Harris, the owner of a prominent business etiquette and protocol company, has been named to the Lighthouse of Broward Board of Directors, announced. Board Chairperson Carmen Miller.
By: Lighthouse of Broward Harris has a 17-year career in marketing and corporate communications and served as manager of public relations for Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale prior to forming her own firm. Mary Harris, Inc. provides workshops and seminars to businesses on such topics as greetings and introductions, how to make an entrance and work a room, presentation and dining savvy, and understanding global business and social customs. Active in numerous community organizations, including Leadership Broward, PetSet/Humane Society and Women of Tomorrow, Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. and a master’s degree in integrated communications, advertising and public relations from Florida International University. She also recently served as chairperson of the Broward County March of Dimes and is certified by the Protocol School of Washington. “We are thrilled to add someone of Mary’s caliber, community contacts and nonprofit experience to our board,” said Miller. “She will be a welcome asset to the Lighthouse and people in our community who are blind or visually impaired.” Lighthouse of Broward The Lighthouse of Broward is a 501 ( c ) 3 charity that serves blind and visually impaired babies, adults and seniors.
