July 16, 2010 - PRLog -- The World Exposition 2010 is now being held in Shanghai of China and will last until 31st October 2010. The theme of the Expo is "Better City, Better Life." There are, in total, 189 countries and 57 international organizations participating in the exhibitions. Among the many pavilions, the China National Pavilion remains to be the top attraction. To get access to the China Pavilion, one should hold a reservation ticket. The demand of the tickets, however, is far greater than the supply. Fortunately, there is a fast track system helping visitors to obtain reservation tickets.

What makes people become enthusiastic to visit the China Pavilion? Simply look at the building. The China Pavilion is grand and magnificent. Its design is based on the concept of Oriental Crown, blending the modern architecture with a taste of the ancient Chinese culture. The theme of the China Pavilion features the Chinese wisdom in urban development. There are three sections in the exhibitions. The first section is characterized by its name "Exploring Oriental Footprint". Initially, visitors will watch a short movie highlighting the experience of urbanization in China over the past 30 years. Visitors will then move to the main gallery in where they will be fascinated to see a giant animated rendition lively presenting a scene of Chinese people' activities during a festival back to the days 900 years ago. The scene is an imitation of the famous ancient Chinese painting scroll "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival". In the picture, over 1,000 animated characters are taking activities such as riding horses, rowing boats, shouldering commodities, selling groceries, or enjoying dinners, etc. There are both day and night scenes. Visitors will enjoy strolling along the "bank" of the animated "river" which stays right below the 128 meter-long animated painting scroll. The real painting scroll of the "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" is displayed in the hall "Crystals of Civilization". People stand on a moving conveyor belt while watching the China's national treasure. Other displays include invaluable antiques.

The second section of the exhibitions in the China Pavilion is "Land of Hope". Exhibitions include projections of future apartments showing how people could improve their city life. In the agricultural area, there are displays of tall and strong super rice which refers to the rice variety that has a significant increase output. The displayed variety in the hall is hybrid rice which is produced by crossbreeding of different types of rice. The following exhibitions, located in a hallway, are children paintings from various parts of China. Peeping through the glass wall of the hallway, visitors could view distant scenery of the Expo site and also below the building are people lining up in front of the China Pavilion. Getting into another exhibition hall, visitors will find a chance to rest their legs by riding an excursion train. The train tour leads people to a dynamic and exciting journey of the discovery of Chinese wisdom in city planning.

The final section of the exhibitions highlights the "Focus on Low-Carbon Future". Exhibitions show the effort of the Chinese government in the advocacy of low-carbon lifestyle to its citizens. Energy saving facilities such as wind power generators and LED bulbs are displayed. At the end of the exhibitions, there is a large ring-shape lotus pond surrounded by running rains. To leave the pavilion, visitors walk into the center part of the lotus pond and step onto the extraordinarily long escalator which goes down to the open-area podium. On the podium, there is a Chinese garden and there is an exit. For more information and videos about the China Pavilion Expo 2010, please visit my blog http://2010shanghaichina.blogspot.com
