July 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Denver, CO – Dryer vent cleaning is the Denver Wizard’s favorite topic of interest.  During a recent interview, the Wizard had a lot to say about dryer vent cleaning and professional dryer vent installation.

Mitchell Chesney is the Wizard of Denver and the owner of Dryer Vent Wizard, a company specializing in dryer vent services.  Dryer Vent Wizard provides a very important service while educating their customers to promote fire safety and energy savings in their community.

Advance technology has created many improvements on household appliances including the newest safety features and energy saving devices.  When asked if dryer vent cleaning was necessary with all clothes dryers, the Wizard answered, “Yes, dryer vent cleaning is necessary for anyone who owns a clothes dryer.  Even the very best, top of the line clothes dryer with a professionally installed dryer vent system requires proper maintenance to promote safety and efficiency.”

Chesney turned the tables and began asking questions of his own.  “Did you know that your clothes dryer is more likely to cause a fire than any other appliance in your home?  Over 15,000 dryer related fires are reported annually, with failure to clean dryer vents being the number one cause.

The Wizard’s next question asked and answered was, “Do you think it is normal for your dryer to take more than 45 minutes to dry a load of towels and jeans?  If so, do you think this is because the dryer is old?  Increased drying time is a sign of restricted air flow, likely caused by lint build up in the dryer ducts.  Dryer vent cleaning will speed up drying time to reduce energy usage and eliminate a fire hazard.”

Chesney surprised us with another question, “Did you know that poorly vented gas dryers can be a carbon monoxide risk?  All fuel burning appliances need to be properly vented for safety.”

The Wizard paused here for effect and we were able to get another question of our own in.  When asked if it was normal to see water dripping from the dryer vent, Chesney answered, “The dryer duct system is responsible for venting heat and moisture as clothes dry; however, any moisture accumulation inside the dryer ducts is a sign of poor venting which should be addressed immediately.  Improper dryer vent installation or use of inferior dryer duct material can pose many risks, including excess moisture leading to mold and mildew problems in the home.”

Dryer Vent Wizard technicians are happy to provide a very important service while they educate their customers on the importance of dryer vent cleaning and proper installation.  They guarantee a complete service, addressing all issues relating to the dryer vent system.  Visit http://www.codryervent.com to learn more.
