National Pit Bull Awareness Organization To Hold Tampa Fundraiser

July 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Tampa, FL,  July 23, 2010 - Pinups for Pit Bulls, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Pit Bull Terrier & Bully breed dogs announced a fundraising event to be held in Tampa, FL August 28, 2010. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the charities.
Party Like A Pinup At Roxy’s Gala, as the event is known, will be a 40's style pinup-themed party, and will take place at the historic Don Vicente Inn in Ybor City, Tampa, FL. The goal of the event is to raise money for the philanthropic work of Pinups For Pitbulls and Tampa Bay area Pitbull Rescue Pit Stop Bullys.
The event features a special guest appearance by Little Darling, national pit bull spokesperson and founder of Pinups for Pitbulls, a live band, burlesque show, costume and dance contest, silent auction and raffle. Mistress of Ceremonies for Roxy Gala will be Little Pet Project spokesmodel Heather Clem.
The event is being hosted and sponsored by the Don Vicente Inn in celebration of the 10th birthday of Roxy, the owner’s pitbull and is being produced by Little Pet Project, nationally published Tampa pet and glamour photographer and IDEAS4, a Tampa-based marketing and web development company.

The mission of Pinups for Pitbulls is to save the lives of abused and abandoned pit bull-type dogs. Pit bull-type dogs and bully breed mixes account for the majority of dogs in shelters across the United States.  Funds are also raised by selling a nationally-acclaimed pinup calendar, additional merchandise and hosting or attending events year-round across the United States.
