What happened in the end of 'Inception'?

July 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Well most of you may have left the multiplexes scratching your head trying to figure out what exactly happened in the last scene of Inception where the movie drops the curtains showing Leonardo (Cobb) reuniting back home with his children and the top still spinning. Just as the audiences believe that the dream has finally unfolded into reality there pops up a series of questions in the mind like, if the end was real then were the other charactors in the mission with Cobbs just figments of his subconcious or are they sharing the dream with him? If they are all imaginery then is Cobbs wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) and the kids all constructs of his dream? It can even be that Cobb was actually captivated into someone else's dream construct.
The plot revolves around Cobbs effort to implant and extract secrets from the mind of the business scion Fisher (Cillian Murphy). But is Cobb the real target of inception? Even as the movie end's another aspect of the plot can be perceived. Was Cobb still trapped inside the limbo of his own mind? The repeated appearances of his supposedly dead wife requesting Cobb to leave the dream world and to join her wobbles this question in the viewer's minds.
But if the maze of the dream was constructed by Ariadne (Ellen Page) and the dream was populated by the dreamer which is Fisher for most of the movie how could Fisher descends into a limbo which was the same limbo that Mal and Cobb constructed during their endless dreams. But yet again the dreams are planted by Ariadne but unless they'd be inside Cobb's dream they should'nt be in the limbo. Also both Fisher and later Siato end up inside the version of Cobb's dream which should'nt be the case unless its Cobb's limbo.
Then if Cobb is struck in a dream then is Mal alive? If this is the case then it can be that both Cobb and Mal are still dreaming their endless dreams. It can also be that Mal is the one who has woken up from the dream and is now trying to rescue Cobb from the layers of dreams he is constructing in his mind. This should also direct us to the fact that it was actually Mal who was trying to build the layers of dream to persuade Cobb to set himself free and to be with her.
Whatever may be the outcome of this never ending script full of limbos 'Inception' has already blown the box-office records and has been able to earn a record 60 million dollars in the opening week. This summer blockbuster has entertained and is still reigning the theatres worldwide.
