'On the Rocks Detroit' in conjunction with 'Eliza Neals' and 'Hard Rock Cafe Detroit' present the "Sizzling Summer in the D" series featuring "An Evening with Barrett Strong" on August 12th at 8pm.  This rare event takes one personally back to the very first days of Motown and should not be missed by music fans young and old! Mr. Strong's previous performance at BB Kings in New York City was a sold out smash sponsored by American Express.

Accompanied by RocknSoul vocalist and protege' Eliza Neals, they will perform some of his classic hits of all time. Strong's unique stories include; his writing partner Norman Whitfield, Berry Gordy the founder of 'Motown Records', Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, The Funk Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and many of the Motown greats.

Mr.Strong will open his heart and the floor to any and all curious attendees who always wanted to know the truth about Motown.  A drop box for questions from the audience will be collected prior to the performance.
