IEI General Contractors Assists in Major Marinette, Wisconsin Health Care Facility Renovation

The substantial renovations include: A renovated waiting/entrance area, which includes a children's play area, expanded seating, room for people in wheelchairs, the addition of a bariatric chair that can support someone up to 700 pounds, and a durable, easy to clean wood-looking laminate - cushioned in high traffic areas; paint, new flooring and other enhancements made to existing private ER exam rooms; the additional of another examination room; and additional space created by moving the air-handling systems into the basement.

These improvements, including improvements planned for the future, were done for both aesthetic and functional reasons, according to BAMC representatives.  Future plans include moving the cardiac stay rooms to a quieter location.  Phases II and III of the health care/medical facility are to include another nursing station near the ER X-ray room. Eighteen areas will be created for treating patients, eleven of which will be private.

IEI General Contractors will perform the additional construction work around existing ER services, which will also include changes to the central staffing desk and moving the staff lounge to a more private location in the medical facility.  Renovations will also be made to the former "Fast Track" area, which was closed last year.  In addition, office space will be created for a new clinical manager.

The renovation work began in April of this year, and all phases of the renovation are on schedule, according to IEI officials.  IEI is working hard to complete the renovations with as little disruption to patients and staff as possible.
