'The Second Coming': when will he return?

Chicago's very own Stockyard Magazine publishes a new Doug Shiloh short story titled "The Second Coming." It says much about our 24-hour news cycle/celebrity ridden society.

Aug. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- ROCKFORD, Illinois - A powerful new short story by Doug Shiloh titled "The Second Coming" is now published at Stockyard Magazine. [http://www.stockyardmagazine.com/]

Shiloh is the author of "Pookoo", which is a novel of "celebrity, Chicago and 6-foot lobsters" and was recently again on bestseller charts at Amazon.com. So far, 3,100 copies of the book have been downloaded. The PDF of the novel can be downloaded for free from Shiloh's web site. In between revising his second novel, "Waiting for the End", Shiloh is writing new short stories.

"It's great to put a new work out there, since I've been at this new novel for a year and a half," Shiloh said. "Speed is a plus to these times. Stockyard employed the true worth of the Internet; it was published within a week of first notifying me. Editor Rory Tolan and crew are creating something special in Chicago with the scope of what they're giving to audience."

Shiloh, the former Bread Loaf Writers' Conference manuscript contributor, who worked PR for the Nagasaki co-pilot and produced celebrity chats on AOL in the mid-90s, is contemplating turning the short story into a novella.

"If I do, it would need to take things to the next level," he said.

"Pookoo" is also available as a Kindle or paperback at Amazon.com.
