Koons Honda Finds High Sales in the 2010 CR-V

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Northern Virginia Honda dealership Koons Honda continues to find high sales on the Honda CR-V.  The CR-V is one of America’s most popular SUVs and received a face-lift in 2010 both inside and out to remain top in its class.

The interior and exterior of the CR-V saw the most improvements and upgrades in 2010.

The interior features on all models include new seat fabrics and door handles with a rubberized grip.  The controls for the radio are also updated, along with new trim panels on the dashboard and steering wheel. The Multi-Information Display and audio system both receive blue backlighting for 2010.

The LX, CR-V’s entry-level model, comes well equipped with standard features like air conditioning, remote entry, a tilt/telescope steering column, cruise control and power windows and locks.

The mid-level CR-V EX contains more equipment, with features such as a power moonroof, rear privacy glass, an in-dash CD changer with six speakers and a security system.  

The EX-L is Honda’s most highest-end SUV model with features that make it competitive to luxury car brands.  This model includes heated leather front seats.  Available options include Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition and a rearview camera, a premium seven-speaker audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Manassas Honda CR-V

The exterior 2010 CR-V features an upgraded, more sculpted look.  The front fascia has a new grille and bumper design, and the edges of the hood are more sculpted.  A single chrome bar sets off the grille now, allowing the hood to flow into the grille more smoothly. EX and EX-L models have new alloy wheel designs.

The CR-V has a 180-hp, DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine powers the Honda CR-V.  The compression ratio is significantly increased, from 9.7:1 to 10.5:1.  Other engine updates include larger valves, reduced internal friction, updated fuel injectors with a finer spray pattern and a higher-flow exhaust system round out the changes.  Although the car is more powerful, fuel economy has increased to 21 mpg city, 28 mpg highway for two-wheel drive models. CR-Vs with Real-Time 4WD are rated at 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, an increase of one mpg.

The CR-V has the agile driving experience as a car, but offers more than something smaller ever could.  The CR-V offers great versatility and tons of storage with a dual-deck cargo shelf and a lightweight lift-up tailgate.  The sliding 60/40-split rear seat offers a flexible 40/20/40-split seatback.  The rear seat also folds and tumbles to create more storage options.  EX and EX-L trim levels have a slick two-level shelf in the load area that
helps increase storage and provide a place for oddly-shaped items.
