Another expensive but user-friendly material is being very hot in the retort pouches application, it is Alox PET or SiOx PET coating film which replace foil barrier but offer the alternative high barrier layer for the pouch, user-friendly pouches thank to its transparent laminated material which the whole package food can be microwaveable.
