LeThrift Celebrates Its First Anniversary!

A Working Mom’s Dream Succeeds Despite Recession, Dwindling Consumer Budgets And A Negative Business Climate.
By: Keith Sanderson

Sept. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Chicago IL …. Christine Sanderson, founder of Le Thrift   (www.lethrift.com), believes the key to the success of Le Thrift. Com is because “People are more aware of value."

" In turn they recognize the value that Le Thrift provides for those who are looking for consigned and fashionably-used designer and high end brand name clothing and accessories.”

The Business plan for Le Thrift was forged from Christine’s real life experience as a single, working mother who represented one of the top fashion designers, Tom Ford.

Her job required that she dress for success as she called on upscale boutiques.   She found that she had to find a way to reduce costs, but still have a fashionable wardrobe.

Christine solved the challenge by shopping consignment and resale stores. She built a high-budget appearing wardrobe on a restricted budget that allowed her to impress her accounts.

Her friends who are involved in fashion publishing and design were impressed. They urged her to start a business where she could use her experience and eye for value in helping others dress fashionably.

On September 25, 2009 www.lethrift.com was launched. Christine vividly recalls the excitement she felt when she received her first order for a Coach purse from a customer in New York, NY
.
Le Thrift will be celebrating its 1st anniversary by revamping its web site www.lethrift.com, offering special promotions,  maintaining a blog for its customers to share their  shopping experiences with other shoppers.

There will also be a new fashion blog titled  ”Le Thriftonista  - Fashion… Fabulous… Thrifty,” along with other media featuring her site.

High points of Le Thrift’s first year include:
•   Le Thrift CEO recognized as a Fashionista Diva by CHICAGO WOMAN,   http://prlog.org/10665883
•  Le Thrift founder Featured Artist, http://prlog.org/10645535
•  Unique Charity Goes Online with LeThrift http://prlog.org/10643953

Le Thrift serves a national market and has developed a loyal following on both coasts as well as in the midwest and south..

The web site offers thousands of resale, new, vintage and one of kind apparel at incredible value prices.

Le Thrift is unique because customers find exceptional items at far better value than what can be found in most traditional locations.  Each LeThrift item is carefully selected to ensure its authenticity.

Customers also get a good online description of the condition of an item before it is purchased. This instills greater confidence in what they buy.   Unlike other online consignment stores, Le Thrift has a generous exchange policy if the item does not work for the customer.

Christine is planning on using what she has learned and will open a retail version of Le Thrift in Chicago, Spring 2011. The store will carry Le Thrift’s branding and business creed – offering exceptional deals on great resale apparel and accessories.

Plans are to also feature up and coming designers and artisans.
Christine says, “I want to be able to support emerging talent and make their work accessible to those who are looking for something unique.”

Le Thrift is always open to comments and suggestions that will help improve value and service by emailing   info@lethrift.com
