Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Things are getting spooky at Lake Lanier Islands Resort during the premiere Haunted Nights of Lights event, http://www.lakelanierislands.com/calendar/hnol.php, which runs nightly, 7-11 p.m., Oct. 1-31. Families will huddle together as they take a driving tour of Lake Lanier Islands Resort, located about 40 miles northeast of Atlanta on I-85 North. Haunted displays put a fun spin on skeletons, witches and other ghoulish characters that lurk in the shadows. And while the scene is certainly spook-tacular, it’s suitable for goblins of all ages.

View the spooky scenes with wide-eyed delight before concluding at the Haunted Village where carnival rides, games and even a kid friendly Fun House provide additional entertainment. Pony rides, apple cider and a marshmallow roast make it easier to bear the things that go bump in the night while a shop inspires ghoulish gift-giving including tasty treats and farm-grown pumpkins.

Admission is $20/car Mon.-Thurs.; $25/car Fri.-Sun.; $40/van (up to 15-passenger capacity). Additional charges for Haunted Village activities. See website for all-inclusive packages: http://www.lakelanierislands.com.

Brave enough to spend the night? Stay at Lake Lanier Islands Resorts’ Legacy Lodge or spend the weekend at the Legacy Villas or LakeHouses at Legacy. Other options include the Flowery Branch Hampton Inn & Suites and the Comfort Inn and Suites in Buford.
