Former FDA Branch Chief Joins the National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation.

Sept. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- The National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation (NTEF) is pleased to announce Morris Waxler, Ph.D., has joined the organization’s Board of Consultants and Advisors and will be consulting on FDA regulatory and various neurological issues.

Dr. Waxler has extensive experience with various departments within the FDA, as Branch Chief in the Centers for Devices and Radiological Health, Interdisciplinary Scientist (Expert), Research Psychologist.  Additionally, he was a Research Psychologist with the US Naval Medical Research Institute, Consultant to the National Institute of Mental Health, Medical Technologist and Research Psychologist in the Laboratory of Neuropsychology with the National Institute of Mental Health.

“I am pleased that I can enter another chapter in my life and pursue my interest in neuroscience,” said Morris Waxler, Ph.D., “The work of the NTEF to protect the public from chemicals and neurotoxicants in our environment, is an upcoming field of research that has major health implications for everyone”.

"The knowledge that Dr. Waxler brings to the NTEF, regarding the FDA regulatory process and enforcement, will assist us in making certain that personal care products are safe for the public” said Jack D. Thrasher, Ph.D., Toxicologist, Immuno-toxicologist, Fetal-toxicologist and Technical Director for the NTEF.  “Dr. Waxler’s interest in neuroscience fits in with the mission of the NTEF regarding adverse effects of chemicals on the brain. We look forward to this new association”.
