Lafayette hosts FIRST Fashion Week Preview at the HEYMANN CENTER

Oct. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Lafayette, Louisiana will host first ever Fashion Week Preview at the Heymann Center Ballroom on October 27, 2010.  Our event will be hosted in conjunction with a scholarship fundraiser for a Local Lafayette graduating senior wishing to attend college in Art, Fashion, or Design at a local university.    Fashion Week Preview is a event platform that will preview our Fashion Designers collections that will showcase their work in New Orleans for Fashion Week in Spring 2011.  

We have many local Lafayette businesses(Stella&Dot, Olan Mills, Courtesy Automotive, Acadiana Tux and Limo, Hope Hebert Art, Pink Paparatzi Boutique, Luciana Justice Photography, and Paul Mitchell Focus Salons) involved with the event along with showcasing for the very first time New York Fashion Weeks Designer Luis Carlos Machicao www.luismachicao.com on October 27, 2010.   Luis Machicao collections are inspired by his native country Peru along with his many experiences working for Christian Dior as Creative Design Director for 10 years in France. Luis Machicao also works for the Peru government and designs for the Peru army, first lady and first family.  With his many accomplishments we welcome him and his collection to Lafayette, LA.  

Ashley Jolet and Tyler Hebert were selected to host this event and are local Lafayette, LA residents.  Ashley Jolet is a well-known and accomplished model representing Lafayette, LA and has also been selected as the spokeswoman for Fashion Week in this area.   Ashley Jolet has worked with many boutiques and clothing retailers representing many brands in both print and media.  We welcome Ashley Jolet as the host of Fashion Week Preview and all of her wonderful accomplishments.   Tyler Hebert is a well-known Fashion Photographer and Artist in Lafayette, LA(www.tylerhebert.com).  Tyler Hebert contributes heavily in the Fashion and Design industry in Lafayette, LA and has built a fashion focus in this great city.   Tyler Hebert brings a wealth of accomplishments to host this event with our Foundation on October 27, 2010.   We appreciate Tyler Hebert and welcome him as the male spokesman for the Lafayette, LA area.  

Fashion Week Preview works in conjunction with our non-for-profit organization which is titled the Fashion Week of New Orleans Foundation.  The Fashion Week of New Orleans Foundation will award scholarships in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, LA and Mississippi Coastline for selected students who maintain a 2.5 or grade point average and wishing to attend college or are attending college for Art, Fashion or Design.   Each area will be awarded a scholarship and will be selected by our Executive Director in April 2011.
