Derek Mehraban to be keynote speaker at The 2010 Marketing Resource Fair

The Marketing Mix and The Michigan State University Marketing Association (MSUMA) combine their efforts to bring students the 2010 Marketing Resource Fair on Nov. 4 at the Stadium Tower.

Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- EAST LANSING, Mich — The Marketing Mix and The Michigan State University Marketing Association (MSUMA) have combined their efforts to bring students the 2010 Marketing Resource Fair on Nov. 4 at the Stadium Tower. MSU Alum, Derek Mehraban the MSU New Media Driver’s License professor has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the event.

Mehraban currently sits on the Marketing Advisory Council at MSU and is ranked 26th nationally among marketing professors. The New Media Driver’s License course teaches students about digital marketing, social networking, blogging, search optimization, Google and more.

Aside from teaching the New Media Driver’s License course, Mehraban is the founder and CEO of Ingenex Digital Marketing based in Ann Arbor. Ingenex provides a full suite of Digital Marketing services including interactive branding™, web site design, generational marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click management, optimized public relations, direct marketing, email marketing, event marketing, SEO, SEM, PPC, podcasting and blogging. Mehraban also blogs at The Digital Bus http://thedigitalbus.com and hosts Lunch Ann Arbor Marketing (LA2M), a weekly lunch series focused on digital and traditional marketing.

The event will take place on Nov. 4 at the MSU stadium tower. The workshop will begin at 5:30 P.M., and the career fair will go from 6:45-8:00 P.M. Students are encouraged to attend all activities.

The Marketing Resource Fair is open to all majors, and students do not need to be a part of either organization to attend. All faculty members are welcome to attend as well.  

The Marketing Mix is an MSU-exclusive marketing consulting student organization designed to provide members with a “hands-on experience” consulting with both local and national businesses. Some clients have included Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Whirlpool.

MSUMA is a nationally affiliated marketing student organization that provides members with networking and career-building opportunities with presentations from top marketing and business related companies.
