Oct. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- It is not very often that a new mobile phone handset appears in which appears to be sitting on the very cutting edge of  current mobile phone technology, however, if the specifications of the latest offering from Sony Ericsson is to be believed, this will be one of the most advanced of the handsets to be seen in 2011.

As DoCoMo prepares to reveal it's winter collection in November, the new Xperia looks like being  the operator's most exciting phone yet.

In a recent interview for the Swedish magazine di.se, Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg promised new flagship models to outshine the competitors, stating,

"We will step up and have leading edge products in the future.  

"It has become a race of the latest Android version and the highest clock speed. It's a race we have to adjust to and it is what the magazines write about."

4" OLED with Multi-touch support,
16GB Internal Memory with micro SD card support up to 32GB.
Android Gingerbread OS.
1800mah battery
Dedicated GPU with 512mb dedicated memory.

If these are the genuine leaked specifications then this phone catapults Sony Ericsson back in to the forefront of mobile phone technology.

Rumours announcement is early November with shipping to take place January / February 2011.
