Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:30 - 8 pm near the Hall of States Gift Shop and during Intermission of The Washington Ballet..  

Sharon Savoy's much-awaited memoir portrays a lifelong love affair with dance and reveals the 'behind the scenes' fierce competition, brutal politics and the artistic brilliance that it takes to become a World Champion in the field of competitive ballroom dance.   Ms. Savoy's dance career began under the direction of New York City Ballet's legendary George Balanchine and culminated with standing ovations on the world's most competitive stages in Paris, London and Asia.  She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Madison Square Gardens and in Hollywood movies.
