Gracie the Yorkshire Terrier, Inspiration Behind The GracieLoo Dog Litter Box, Dies at 15

Nov. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA – November 8, 2010 – Gracie the Yorkshire Terrier, namesake for Gracie & Co. and the GracieLoo dog litter box, died in her home on March 14, 2010.  She was 15 years old.  Gracie died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by Victoria Blackstone, who adopted Gracie in the Spring of 1994, and Chloe, Gracie’s feline friend for 12 years.

Born on December 3, 1994, Gracie was adopted by Victoria when she was six months old. Gracie will be remembered for her gentle nature and loving ways that endeared her to all who knew her.  Even though she was crippled for the last two years of her life, Gracie never let her handicap overtake her sweet spirit.

She inspired Victoria to start a business that bears her name, Gracie & Co., and she helped Victoria understand some of the special needs that many older and handicapped dogs experience.  As a result, Gracie & Co.’s product line is expanding to include many products that will help elderly and handicapped dogs and cats. The GracieLoo dog litter box was an invaluable assist to Gracie during her handicapped years and will also help countless other little dogs.  

We at Gracie & Co., our family, and many friends remember Gracie with cherished thoughts, funny stories, much laughter, and our deepest love.  She lives forever in our hearts.
