Actress Tatum O'Neal Presents Addiction Specialist Dr. Howard C. Samuels with Inspiration Award

Nov. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Dr. Howard C. Samuels CEO and Founder of The Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles, California, will receive the 2010 Inspiration Award from Hollywood Arts, for his globally recognized achievement in the field of  recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.

    Dr. Samuels' award for his dedication to transforming lives through service and education will be presented to him by longtime friend--Academy Award-winning actress Tatum O'Neal.  Hollywood Arts 3rd Annual Dream Awards will take place at RALEIGH STUDIOS at 662 N. Van Ness Avenue in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.



    "I am deeply honored and grateful for having been chosen for the Inspiration Award by Hollywood Arts," says Dr. Samuels. "I love how Hollywood Arts inspires high-risk young people to dream big, and to push the limits of creativity and ingenuity so they can build self-esteem and work skills."

    Dr. Samuels knows all about being a troubled teen. Overcoming addiction to heroin and cocaine and a learning disability, he transformed his life personally and made a career out of treating the disease of alcoholism. Today, 26 years later, he is a sober, productive member of society whose purpose and passion is to help others turn their lives around.

    As the nation's leading drug and alcohol addiction expert, Dr. Samuels is a licensed therapist with a  Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He has run three successful treatment centers. As Program Director at Promises, in Malibu California, Founder of Wonderland Treatment Center and currently, as CEO and Founder of The Hills Treatment Center.

    Dr. Samuels lives in Hancock Park with his wife Gabrielle and their three children Cooper 9, Greer 6, and Chase 3.
