Aeropostale, Inc. , a mall-based specialty retailer of casual and active apparel for young women and men, announced that the Company's Board of Directors has authorized a $300.0 million increase in the Company's share repurchase program bringing the total share repurchase program, since inception, to $1.15 billion.

Nordstrom, Inc.  reported net earnings of $119 million, or $0.53 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended October 30, 2010. This represented an increase of 42.6 percent compared with net earnings of $83 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, for the same quarter last year.  Third quarter same-store sales increased 5.8 percent compared with the same period in fiscal 2009. Net sales in the third quarter were $2.09 billion, an increase of 11.7 percent compared with net sales of $1.87 billion during the same period in fiscal 2009.
