Nov. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- MLB Blog Buzz, a baseball blog aggregation site, has stated it will feature one baseball blog stand-out as announced on their Facebook and Twitter pages.  The “Baseball Blogger Spotlight” showcases writers who frequently update their blogs with interesting and well researched information about their team.

“We’re excited about our new spotlight,” says Kevin Hirata, co-founder of MLB Blog Buzz.  The feature was created when Hirata noticed the incredible amount of work several bloggers put into their content.  “We wanted to reward our bloggers who have made the effort to make sure their readers are caught up on all the latest news about their favorite teams.”

MLB Blog Buzz has selected i70baseball.com as its first spotlight blog.  Launched during the 2010 All-Star break, I-70 Baseball covers the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals.  Along with daily blog posts, Executive Editor and Founder William Ivie, Jr. and his team of associates offer a weekly newsletter and podcast.  “I thought our niche would be able to talk about them both the Cardinals and the Royals,” explains Ivie.  “The single biggest joy for me is being able to feature some of my favorite writers and some of the best content on the web on my very own site.”

The baseball blog site also looks to feature its writers in other ways with the addition of the “Hot Stove” and Fantasy Baseball link units.  The “Hot Stove” section focuses on articles that discuss breaking news, the latest baseball rumors, and free agent signings.  The fantasy baseball section highlights articles containing information about how to improve your fantasy baseball team.

Hirata expresses his gratitude to all baseball bloggers who have been a part of MLB Blog Buzz.  “If you’re a baseball fan, you know how much searching you have to do if you want to keep up with the latest news,” says the co-founder.  “Some of the smallest blogs have the biggest news and best insights, and we just wanted to give those sites a chance to shine.”
