California Scooter Company Motorcycles Approved In Australia

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- California Scooter Company announced today that its new line of small motorcycles has been approved by the Australian government, and California Scooters are now street legal throughout Australia.  California Scooter Company shipped 18 of its 150cc California Scooters to Magnum Performance in Victoria today.  

“We’re pleased that our California Scooter motorcycles are approved for sale in Australia,” said Steve Seidner, President and Chief Executive Officer of the La Verne, California-based California Scooter Company.  “We’ve been selling our Pro-One Performance V-twins in Australia for years, and we enjoy participating in the Australian market.   Our California Scooters offer the same classic styling and show-quality construction as our big bikes, along with fuel efficiency as high as 98 miles per gallon.  These are great bikes and we are happy to be offering them in Australia.”

California Scooter offers the Greaser, the Classic, and the Babydoll models.    All are powered by a 150cc four-stroke engine and have a five-speed transmission.   The scooter-sized 240-lb bikes take their styling cues from the Mustang, a US motorcycle manufactured from 1947 to 1962 in Glendale, California.    Seidner’s new California Scooter line is establishing new benchmarks for small motorcycle performance.  A team of motorcyclists rode California Scooters the length of the Baja peninsula and back in September to demonstrate the bikes’ reliability.  Most recently, a modified California Scooter set the 150cc motor scooter land speed record during trials sanctioned by the Motor Scooter International Land Speed Federation.
