Functional Skills Online, On Demand, Anytime

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- A forward-thinking qualification provider is easing the pressure for functional skills learners by taking its new qualifications digital and making them available online and on-demand.

As part of its ‘Functional Skills Step by Step Success’ campaign, NCFE has launched its suite of Functional Skills qualifications, including Levels 1 and 2 in Maths, English and ICT.

NCFE’s qualifications focus on the need to equip learners with the practical skills required for the workplace, as well as learning when and how those skills should be applied in real, everyday situations.

Available online and on-demand, NCFE’s new qualifications are designed to create increased flexibility for learners aged 14 plus who can sit exams at any time, whenever they feel ready and confident enough to do so.

A traditional paper-based assessment format is also available to learners and all qualifications make learning Functional Skills easier and more efficient to facilitate today’s modern and fast-paced working style for schools, colleges, training providers and employers.

Functional Skills can be studied as a stand-alone subject or as part of a wider educational programme, such as apprenticeships and GCSEs. With 75,000 extra apprenticeships available post spending review, Functional Skills are particularly effective as part of a comprehensive apprenticeship programme.
