This completes the Thanksgiving Food Exchange, where All Creatures' clients donate food to Metrocrest Social Service.
By: George Brown, Business Manager This completes the Thanksgiving Food Exchange food drive held last month. This year, 1217 pounds of human food was collected at All Creatures and donated to Metrocrest Social Services. This surpassed the Food Exchange goal of 1000 pounds and it was over 400 more pounds than was collected in 2009. Special thanks goes out to the employees of CMI, Inc., who collected over 1000 pounds of the food at their office before delivering it to All Creatures. The Thanksgiving Food Exchange allows clients of All Creatures and local residents to help people and pets with a human food donation. All of the human food is taken to Metrocrest Social Services at the end of November. Then in December, All Creatures donates an equal amount (in pounds*) of Hill’s® Pet Food to Operation Kindness – the no-kill animal shelter in Carrollton, Texas. All Creatures Veterinary Center is located at 2525 E Hebron Pkwy. (at Marsh Ridge Rd.), Carrollton, Texas 75010. (*donation limit for 2010 was 1000 pounds) # # # All Creatures Veterinary Center combines a first-class pet hospital with a pet hotel and a pet grooming salon.
