Lm Preston, Guest For FCC “GENERATION MOBILE” Forum For Parents & Educators, 10AM-12/14/10

Dec. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Author of MG and YA books, Explorer X – Alpha and The Pack, LM Preston will be a guest author at the event held by the Fcc “Generation Mobile” Forum For Parents & Educators. She will discuss the impact of cell phone usage in regards to teenagers. Her son, and debut author of short story SPECTRUM to be featured with her 2011 release of new book, BANDITS, F. Raushawn, will be in attendence also.

LM. Preston is a dynamic new voice in young adult science fiction. Her debut Middle Grade novel, EXPLORER-X – Alpha, takes the reader on the ride of their lives to space and a far away planet.  This first installment of the EXPLORER X series features Aadi who discovers the true purpose of the Space Camp owned by his parent’s company.  In her upper YA SciFi novel, THE PACK, Shamira a teenaged blind vigilante is on a mission to save the missing kids on Mars. She decides to use the most unlikely weapons against the crime organization that holds them hostage – the very kids of which they have captured.

LM. Preston was born and raised in Washington, DC.  An avid reader, she loved to create poetry and short-stories as a young girl.  With a thirst for knowledge she attended college at Bowie State University, and worked in the IT field as a Techie and Educator for over sixteen years.  She started writing science fiction under the encouragement of her husband who was a Sci-Fi buff and her four kids.  Her first published novel, Explorer X - Alpha was the beginning of her obsessive desire to write and create stories of young people who overcome unbelievable odds.  She loves to write while on the porch watching her kids play or when she is traveling, which is another passion that encouraged her writing.  For more information visit www.lmpreston.com
