By: Your baby As a mother of 3 children I have tried all kinds of methods and programs to get my kid's education started early. I have studied up a lot on early child development and so I know how important it is to challenge a child's brain while it is in it's most prime learning stage. A lot of parents simply wait too long to start teaching their kids basic concepts. They do this because they think they are just too young to pick up these things, but the truth of the matter is that kids can learn things faster and retain them longer than adults can. In fact, even a toddler can learn to read and pick up basic language skills that a grown adult would struggle to learn. This is because the toddlers mind is in it's most fertile state and can soak up this stuff like a sponge. By the way, here are some used and new Your Baby Can Read Kits on sale right now that you can check out. This will save you a lot of money from buying them from the website. So I already knew I wanted to get my kids off to a good start. It was just a matter of getting the right program to use with them. With my oldest son I used a program I saw on TV. The commercial sounded very convincing so I gave it a shot. After a few weeks I saw some improvement in my son's reading levels, but it just seemed to move to slow for him and he bored very quickly. The concepts were good but you could tell the program was just thrown together last minute to make some extra money for it's creator. So for the younger two kids I wanted something that would be a little more effective. Little did I know that Your Baby Can Read would be much more effective. I can attest to actually training a baby, a young baby, to READ before her 1st birthday. Now, she was not reading Sherlock Holmes novels or anything, but she was recognizing words and even recalling colors. Most people are amazed when you tell them this, but once you start using the program you can see how this is possible. It targets the part of the child's mind that is most hungry for knowledge and really makes it fun. But it's not just for babies either. I also used the program on my 4 year old at the same time and he went from being frustrated when trying to read a simple kids book, to reading and comprehending stories he would read at the local library. Now I don't think Your Baby Can Read is for everyone. And I recommend teaching a good phonics program along with it. You really need to spend the time going over the cue cards and videos with your kids to really solidify that information in their heads, so if you don't have time for this, it may not be for you. But for any stay-at-home- Even if you are skeptical, it's worth at least trying out. Even if you end up hating it you can just write your own review. I have tried a lot of other programs out there, but none are as professional and top-notch as this one. Although I am checking out a few others that look interesting as well. I must laugh at many of the comments left below so far. Some of them are honest and some are down right hateful. Doing my best to approve the ones that are not so caustic, and letting people decide for themselves. Some have not had any success with the program and I am glad they have spoken up. As long as all comments are civil I will do my best to let them remain. Update on November 23rd: For those dissatisfied with Your Baby Can Read you can check out the newly improved Hooked on Phonics here. Yeah, remember that program? Well they have made some changes and have a pretty impressive training program. # # # We sale yourbaby products to worldwide. We sale your baby can read, your baby books and your baby's DVD.
