MaxOut Announces Brand Marketing & Membership Alliance With Maxwell Football Club

Dec. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- ROYERSFORD, PA & AMBLER, PA– December 20, 2010– MaxOut LLC, the parent company of the MaxOut Strength Studio Franchise and MaxOut Strength Systems, has announced a Brand Marketing and Member Expansion Alliance with The Maxwell Football Club. The two organizations will work together to leverage Maxwell Football Club’s 75 year history of recognizing achievements and supporting the football community to expand the club’s member base at local, regional and national levels.

The alliance announcement comes on the same day that Maxwell Football Club President, Ron Jaworski, announced Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer as the winner of the inaugural Joseph V. Paterno Coach of the Year Award. The award is designed to honor the spirit of Coach Paterno, whose long-time success on the field has been matched only by his impact away from it. Coaches had been evaluated since the summer based on team  performance on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. For almost half a century, Coach Paterno has demanded all-around excellence from his student-athletes as does this new award carrying his name.
           
The Maxwell Football Club (originally called the Maxwell Football Club of Philadelphia) was established in 1935 to promote safety in the game of American football. Named in honor of the late Robert W. (Tiny) Maxwell, legendary college player, official, and sports columnist, the club was founded by his friend Bert Bell, then owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and eventual commissioner of the National Football League. Over its illustrious 75 year history, the Maxwell Football Club has expanded its initial mission and celebrated and supported football at every level, from high school to the NFL.

The winners of the 74th Maxwell Award and the 16th Chuck Bednarik Award were announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show on December 9, 2010.  Cam Newton of Auburn was awarded the Maxwell Award for the Collegiate Player of the Year and Patrick Peterson of LSU was announced as the winner of the Chuck Bednarik Award for the Defensive Player of the Year. The formal presentation of these awards will be made at the Maxwell Football Club's Awards Dinner on March 4, 2011. Last season, the Maxwell Award went to Colt McCoy of the University of Texas while the Bednarik Award went to Ndamukong Suh of the University of Nebraska.  McCoy and Suh are now members of the NFL’s  Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions.

The Maxwell Football Club recently announced ESPN and ABC Sports President George Bodenheimer as the 22nd recipient of the Francis J. "Reds" Bagnell Award for contributions to the game of football. Mr. Bodenheimer, who joined ESPN in January 1981 - 16 months after the network launched - has served as the company's president since 1998. In March 2003, he was additionally appointed President of ABC Sports, and, one year later, was named co-chairman for Disney Media Networks.  Mr. Bodenheimer will receive the Bagnell Award on March 4th, 2011 at Maxwell Football Club’s National Awards Dinner at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City.
