Custom Components Company Receives Contract for Museum Tower – Dallas, TX

Custom Components Company has received a contract from Austin Building Company for custom designed and fabricated railing for the Museum Tower in Dallas, TX.

The project is a 42 story condominium development, featuring 116 residences in the heart of the Dallas Arts District and is currently the tallest new structure to be built in the city.  Upon completion, it will stand as the 2nd tallest all residential building in Dallas, behind Gables Republic Tower.

Museum Tower is a joint venture by Dallas developers John Sughrue and Lyle Burgin (Brook Partners, Inc.) and Dan Boekman and Greg Greene (Turtle Creek Holdings, Inc.). Its highly acclaimed architects include Scott Johnson of Los Angeles based Johnson Fain and Gromatsky, Dupree & Associates of Dallas.

Custom Components Company is supplying and installing over 6,000 linear feet of a unique combination of custom designed and fabricated stainless steel, aluminum and laminated glass railing, utilizing DuPont's Sentry Glass Plus™ inner layer.  A unique method of attachment creates unobstructed views for residents and provides a monolithic ribbon of glass at each balcony.  This is one of several projects where we have collaborated with Austin Building Company including, the OMNI Hotel (Fort Worth), Granite & Gables (Dallas), W-Hotel (Austin) and the Irving Convention Center (Irving). Railing installation is scheduled to begin in the 3rd quarter of 2011 and continue into the 2nd quarter of 2012.
