By: Jennifer Hernandez Artist Bio Wednesday Atoms has been compared to R&B artists, such as Brandy, Lauryn Hill, and SADE. Although modesty keeps Wednesday from acknowledging the vocal resemblance, you will hear a strong vocal, melodic, and lyrical quality that parallels the aforementioned artists, but remains distinctly: Wednesday. Through original music, created by the singer-songwriter, Wednesday merges R&B influences with a crisp and vibrant sound that unveils a futuristic component. “I am a cosmic being in a costume. I’m a futurian. I have been sent from the future to elevate the tribulations of the present,” said Wednesday in a candid interview with Newsblaze and SOP reporters. Wednesday started this Futurian mission in grammar school. During this time period, she knew that she wanted to use her talent of singing to reach people. Wednesday hails from Stratford, CT by way of Futuria. Her diverse music and performing art background is attributed to time spent dancing with the dynamic dance group, Toxic. The group’s superior dance talent won them show time at the Apollo Theater, in Harlem, eight consecutive times. Studying and performing Shakespeare at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theatre allowed Wednesday to garner dimension for her craft. Wednesday was a back up singer for Rahbi, from Atlanta, this past summer. In addition, she has performed at countless events for corporations, schools, and universities. In concert, Wednesday creates an intimate experience for her audience by sharing stories and anecdotes pertaining to her life and music. She envelops the audience with the warmth of her words and uplifts their sorrows with her captivating melodies. Every audience member is undoubtedly changed after witnessing Wednesday in concert.
