Volvo Village Clearwater Platinum Sponsor for FL Volvo Club Spring Meet 2011

Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Clearwater, FL - Volvo Village (http://www.volvovillage.com), serving the greater Tampa Bay Area, has just been named the Platinum sponsor for the Florida Chapter of the Volvo Club of America’s Spring Meet 2011.  The meet will be held March 5th, 2011 from 10 am – 3 pm at the beautiful and fun Philippe Park, Safety Harbor, FL in shelter number 5.

Volvo Village is sponsoring five of the seven trophies that will be presented to Volvo cars and their owners in attendance.  The seven trophy categories include: People's Choice Vintage-Pre 1975, People's Choice-Rear Wheel Drive 1976-1998, People's Choice-Front Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive, Golden Rod for Technical Innovation, Longest Distance Traveled, Highest Mileage and Daily Driver.  Additionally, Volvo Village is providing several display cars, door prizes and beverages.

One of these cars was sold here in late 1971 and traded back to us in 1974. We have owned it since then. Another, a 1973 Sport wagon, has been owned by Volvo Village since 1987. Also in our show room, we have a beautifully restored 1971 1800. I'm sure you'll like seeing these cars.”
