Fly Fishing Publications Fete Four Pieces of Simms Gear

Jan. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- BOZEMAN, Mont. – Simms Fishing Products gets the new year off on the right foot as editors from three leading fly fishing magazines heap awards on four selected pieces of Simms gear.

In the Winter 2011 issue of Fly Rod & Reel, Simms’ Dry Creek™ Hip Pack wins a prestigious “Kudo Award” from contributing editor Ted Leeson who calls the waterproof pack “one of the most versatile, useful and well-used pieces of equipment” he owns.

Also capturing the fancy of writers is Simms’ new RiverTek® BOA® wading boot that wins a “Gear of the Year” award in the January/February issue of American Angler. The RiverTek BOA, featuring Vibram® StreamTread™ soles and the innovative Boa® Lacing System, hits stores this spring.

Completing the early season round of awards is a pair of “Gray’s Best” from Gray’s Sporting Journal. Coming in the Expeditions 2011 issue of Grays, Simms is awarded for its HardBite™ Star Cleats and the No Fly Zone™ line of sportswear.
