Follow on Google News | Agenda announced for Europe’s leading image sensors event, Image Sensors Europe 2011IntertechPira released the agenda for the 4th annual Image Sensors Europe conference, packed with speakers from leading manufacturing, supplying, end-use companies as well as academia and research centres.
By: IntertechPira Image Sensors Europe 2011 (ISE 2011) will be taking place on 22-24 March at the Cophtorne Tara Hotel, situated in the beautiful Kensington district in London, UK. It will kick-off on Tuesday with 2 pre-conference workshops: - Managing noise in digital imaging systems led by well-known expert Albert Theuwissen of HARVEST IMAGING - Image quality: subjective + objective evaluation led by DXOLabs Key topics of the 2 day conference programme are image sensor market analysis, innovations in image sensor technology and system architecture as well as novel developments in image sensor applications and large area sensors. The ISE 2011 programme will provide in-depth analyses of many different image sensors sub-markets delivered by high-profile speakers from industry leading companies. Chaired by Lindsay Grant of ST MICROELECTRONICS and Ir. Jan Bosiers of DALSA CORPORATION, day 1 will present SONY analyzing history of image sensor design and development, YOLE DEVELOPPEMENT market analysis of CMOS image sensor technologies, I3A talking about cameraphone image rating system, TOWERJAZZ examining trends and developments in CMOS image sensor markets, APTINA discussing image sensors for automotive applications, CSEM and CMOSIS looking into high-speed imaging and GRASS VALLEY NEDERLAND BV into advances in image sensor technology for broadcast cameras. NOCTURAL VISION will present live demonstration of novel technology for nocturnal vision applications, followed by presentations from PMD TECHNOLOGIES on robust 2D/3D solutions, IMATEST on managing image quality across the camera-phone supply chain and TESSERA on imaging trends and commercial opportunities in astrophotography. Day 2 will start with presentation from OMNIVISION TECHNOLOGIES on second generation 65 nm BSI CMOS image sensors. Afterward, a speaker from PHILIPS RESEARCH LABORATORIES will explore true photon counting with high temporal and spatial resolution, RICatek will talk about advanced ISP applications, NEW IMAGING TECHNOLOGIES will examine native logarithmic image sensing with photodiodes, SIEMENS will analyse organic and hybrid photodiodes for active matrix imaging and DELFT UNIVERSITY OF TEHCNOLOGY will talk about the megaframe and SPADnet projects. Last two sessions of the conference will see RUTHERFORD APPLETON LABORATORY talking about large area CMOS image sensors for X-ray and charged particle detection and DALSA CORPORATION delivering presentation on very large CCD and CMOS imagers. Head of Events Europe at IntertechPira, Robert Stead, said about this year’s programme: ‘I have been working on this conference from its start in 2008 and I am pleased to say that this year's edition will feature the best conference programme ever. The industry was badly hit during the recession; therefore innovation is the key in achieving long term success for companies. Image Sensors Europe 2011 is designed to provide the industry players with the crucial update on the most recent market trends and new exciting technologies with potential in this sector. Its aim is to help drive the industry to a successful recovery and flourishing future.’ Furthermore, with many networking sessions and an exhibition complementing the conference, ISE 2011 provides the ideal opportunity to make lucrative business connections as well as gain knowledge.
