What Do Ghosts Stories and The Andy Griffith Show Have in Common?

Jan. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Siler City is located in Chatham County, the home of Jordan Lake.  Jordan Lake, in another time, was also known as The New Hope Valley, where “The Wanderer of New Hope” is based.  Once considered some of the richest farmland in the piedmont, the New Hope Valley was later impounded by the government to protect the citizens from flooding.  

The book, which sold out at the first event at All Booked Up in Apex, NC, is an entertaining read for local history buffs, ghost hunters and those with a penchant for a good story about local legends.

The event, hosted by Paperbacks Plus, will take place on Saturday, Jan 29th from 11:00AM-1:00 PM.  The store is conveniently located one block from the post office at 208 East Raleigh Street, Siler City, NC.  Centered in a southern, ole’ town, Paperbacks Plus will also be serving Moon Pie Sundaes, a classic southern delight!
