Jan. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The financial services industry is activating Apple’s iPads at a rapid clip, according to a report by Good Technology, which provides corporate email software.

In a report, Good said the adoption of iPads by financial services company “is remarkable.” Indeed, as the chart below shows deployments are picking up steadily in financial services. Good argued that enterprise will buy the iPad and other tablets in sharp contrast to smartphones, which will be brought to companies by workers.
Aside from financial services, iPad activations tend to be rocky. Healthcare activations are all over the map. One possible reason: An iPad may be too large to be lugged around in a lab coat.

Other key points from the Good report:

The iPhone 4 was the most popular device, but the iPad has a steadier rate of adoption.
The Droid X and Droid 2 were the top two Android devices for Good activations.
More than 60 percent of Good customers support both iOS and Android devices.
BlackBerry activations aren’t show since RIM uses its own corporate email servers. Good doesn’t support Windows Phone 7 yet.
