PEARL iZUMi Appoints OutsidePR as Agency of Record

Jan. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Louisville, Colorado – January 31, 2011-- PEARL iZUMi, a worldwide leading maker of run and bike apparel and shoes, today announced that it has hired San Francisco-based OutsidePR to serve as its outside public relations firm.

The work for PEARL iZUMi will focus on the company’s industry-leading cycling, triathlon and run apparel, as well as its cycling and running shoes.  The work will span all media platforms, from broadcast television and women’s magazines to enthusiast media and social media.  PEARL iZUMi, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shimano, was founded in Japan in 1950 and in the United States in 1988 and also maintains a European headquarters based in Kirchzartan, Germany.  

PEARL iZUMi global marketing director Geoff Shaffer said, “We see OutsidePR as a new member of our marketing group.  They will work with our internal team, complement our existing media relationships and find creative ways to put the PEARL iZUMi brand in front of active runners, cyclists and triathletes.”
