What is K9 Advantix?
Similar to Frontline Plus, k9 Advantix is a pet medication against flea and tick for dogs.  Like Frontline Plus, it does not just repel but kills fleas, ticks and mosquitoes also. In addition to this, it is also effective against lice and flies as well.

How to use:

Initially, the position of dog is an important factor.
Make them in a standing position. Now, part the fur and hair of dog near the shoulder blades until the skin appears. Apply on skin to get the results soon.

Dog of Weight 10 lbs = 5 kg: 1 applicator once a month - Green box
Dog of Weight 11 – 20 lbs = 5 to 10 kg:  1 applicator once a month - Teal box
Dog of Weight 21-55 lbs = 10 - 25 kg:     1 applicator once a month - Red box
Dog of Weight over 25 Kg:    1 applicator once a month - Blue box

Please wash your hands properly once you have applied the product on to the dog to avoid any ill effect.

Imidacloprid:
Imidacloprid is one of the ingredients of k9 Advantix.
It has all the insecticidal properties to attack on the central nervous system of the parasites.

It finally gets saturated in the hair follicles, but does not get into the body. It is effective for 30 days and stays active even after bathing or swimming.

Flea and tick are repelled in just about minutes and killed in a day.

Side effects of k9 Advantix:
The behavior of your dog may change ultimately in the case of overdose.
It can become more active which includes weird behavior of dog.
Some mild symptoms of itching, fever can be noticed.

A sensation of burning, tingling, itching or numbness of the skin may occur after topical application.
This sensation usually begins 1-2 hours after application and should usually go away on its own within 1-3 days.
Shampooing the skin gently, but well with a shampoo such as Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and rinsing very well should help the pet feel better, sooner.

Precautions:

K9 Advantix should not be used on cats.
This product is for external use only on dogs and puppies 7 weeks or older.
Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals and debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals.

Do not use this product on animals other than dogs.
In households with cats, separate the treated dog for about one hour until the product is thoroughly dry.

It is important to apply this product no more than once a month and to use the correct strength for the weight of the dog.

This product is harmful to humans if swallowed. Call a physician or poison control center for advice. Have patient sip water.

Do not induce vomiting unless advised to and the patient is conscious. This product can cause eye irritation. Flush eyes with plenty of water.

Cautions:
Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks of age.
Do not apply Advantix for Dogs to cats or animals other than dogs.
Do not permit cats to actively groom or have close physical contact with a recently treated dog.

Do not get this product in the pet’s eyes or mouth.

Use with caution in sick and debilitated animals.

Safe to use on puppies from 7 weeks of age.

This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed.
Avoid contact with skin.

Call poison control center if swallowed.

If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.
Do not use on cats. Cats cannot metabolize the ingredients used in this product. In households with cats, separate the treated dog for about one hour until the product is thoroughly dry.
