Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Centering on his experiences in creating and leading his burgeoning Florida law firm, Spencer M. Aronfeld of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers has written a new guide that encourages and teaches law students interested in launching their own law firms. Titled “Make it Your Own Law Firm,” the book serves at the “Ultimate Law Student’s Guide to Owning, Managing, and Marketing Your Own Successful Law Firm.”

Published by Amicus Curiae Publishing Inc., Aronfeld wrote the book in response to the growing number of law students nationally who are unemployed because the uncertain economy and increased competition have made it difficult for talent students to land positions.

“I have owned and operated my own law firm from the day I was sworn in as a lawyer,” said Aronfeld. “Not because I wanted to or because it was my dream, but because even though I graduated from the University of Miami of Law, cum laude, in 1991, I simply could not get an interview, much less a job.”

Through perseverance and clear vision, Aronfeld’s firm grew to become one of the most recognized personal injury firms in Florida. He and team have handled dozens of high profile cases representing clients across the country. In the book, Aronfeld take readers through every step of growing his fledgling law firm through compelling vignettes and detailing his decision-making process.

Intriguing chapters focusing on of the book important career decisions and management issues include:
•   Solo Practice: Do I Have the Right Stuff?
•   Solo with Someone Else: Should I Have a Partner
•   Staff: Hiring, Firing, When, Where, and How
•   Marketing: How to Get and Keep Clients
•   When Will I Know If I Have Made It?
•   A Word About Staying Ethical
•   Quitting
•   Social Networking
•   Every Lawyer Needs a Mentor

“It is my sincere hope that no other law school graduate will ever be faced with prospect of abandoning their destiny simply because of not having a job offer of accepting a position that they hate because they have no other choice,” said Aronfeld. “I hope that this book creates more opportunities for passionate lawyers to start their own law firm, resulting in greater access to legal representation to those members of our community in need.”
