Kathleen Battle in recital at Florida A and M University

March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Five-time Grammy winner Kathleen Battle, Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at 4 p.m. at Florida A and M University in Lee Hall Auditorium.

Tickets are available for $70, $50 and $30.  Student tickets available for the first 300 students with FAMU IDs.

Having a voice described by The Washington Post as "without qualification, one of the most beautiful in the world."  Ms. Battle is adored around the world for her luminous soprano voice.  Her triumphs have taken her to all the musical captials of the world and she remains one of the most beloved singers of our time.  Whether she is singing Handel, Mozart or Negro spirituals, Ms. Battle brings a great since of intergrity to whatever she offers before the public.  Recent performances include a highly heraled solo recital at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall with acclaimed pianist Olga Kern and  at the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland, in which she appeared with the Morgan State University Choir and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Damon Gupton.
