March 22, 2011 - PRLog -- How social media fits into making a business successful is an issue of increasing concern for businesses, from huge conglomerates to small independents. Postling, the social media management site has partnered with ArtFire.com, an artisan marketplace to help small business owners learn how to use social media to proactively promote their businesses.

In a free six-week boot camp, individuals who sign up will receive six lessons on how to use social media to its fullest for their business. Lesson topics include how to use Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms efficiently and effectively. No membership is needed on either ArtFire or Postling to enroll in the boot camp. Each week a new lesson will be emailed and discussed in the ArtFire forums. ArtFire staff and special guest Postling members will be present in the forums to answer questions, help with specifics and offer further assistance.

The boot camp will begin on April 4th and continue through May 2nd 2011, with one lesson per week for six weeks. "We're adamant about education when it comes to small business owners and social media marketing," says Postling CEO, Dave Lifson. "The more we can help them see and understand the value in social media marketing, the more we can help them become better marketers. That sort of education is something we're excited to share with ArtFire members."

ArtFire members will receive a 20 percent discount when signing up for a Postling account during the duration of the boot camp. Tony Ford, ArtFire COO says "Many of our artisans have discovered that social media is the best marketing they can do for their businesses, but many others have found they need a little help. That is why we are so excited to be partnering with Posting to provide access to the tools they need in order to thrive in social media."
