Dame Elizabeth Taylor Dies at 79

Was born in Hampstead West London and arose to become  an icon of Hollywood’s Golden age as one of Hollywood’s  Greatest  movie stars, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 79.
The double Oscar-winning actress had a history of health issues and was being treated for symptoms of congestive heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, her publicist said.
Her four children were by her side when she passed away  according to her publicist son Michael Wilding called her "an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest…Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts."
Kids today know Elizabeth Taylor as one of the late Michael Jackson’s lifelong friends and AIDS activist but the world at large remembers her as one of the world’s most vivacious actresses the star of films such as cat on a Hot Tin Roof,  National Velvet, Cleopatra and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
She won two Academy Awards and the height of her film career came in the 1960s, with four Oscar nominations in a row from 1958 to 1961.
Elizabeth Taylor made 12 films with Richard Burton whom she had a tumultuous yet romantic and passionate love hate relationship with.
She leaves behind her four children - Michael and Christopher Wilding, Maria Burton-Carson and Liza Todd-Tivey-
A private family funeral will be held later this week
