Leonard Nimoy Gets Invite to Join William Shatner for Warp Drive Test Flight

For his 80th birthday, Leonard Nimoy gets invite from R&D engineer Marshall Barnes to join William Shatner for a test flight of the first functioning prototype for warp drive, the STDTS, via remote control, some time next year.

March 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Leonard Nimoy, famed actor for his portrayal of Dr. Spock on TV's Star Trek and most recently, Dr. William Bell on Fox TV's FRINGE, has been invited as an 80th birthday greeting, to join William Shatner, who played opposite him as Captain Kirk on Star Trek, for a very momentous event - the first test flight of the first functioning prototype for warp drive, the STDTS, by its inventor, Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng.

In an email sent to Nimoy's photography agent, Marshall described how he had already invited Shatner to join the event and posted the invite on Shatner's message board on his web site - http://www.williamshatner.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-38745.phtml . Also included also are excerpts from a technical paper that Marshall will soon release on warp drive physics that explain how he has gotten around the extreme energy requirements that physicists impose on typical warp drive schemes based on general relativity.

Marshall is scheduled to appear in his first live call-in radio interview, since the news of his warp prototype began hitting the internet in 2006, April 4th at 8PM on The Chosen heard only on www.talktainmentradio.com. This will give listeners a chance to not only hear about this first hand, but to also ask questions about what could be, one of the biggest breakthroughs in the history of Man.
