Maino's Take on Life,Politics and Haterz

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- HSM: How does it feel to have a hit single after all this time in the game?
   Maino: You know it feels good man. It’s a beautiful feeling; I’ve been in this for a minute. I’m not trying to stop. I like the feeling! We just blowing up, you know what I mean?

HSM: Is it a surprise to know that Hi Haters became such a big hit?
   Maino: Nah! It wasn’t a surprise at all! I knew I was on to something, you know what I mean? That’s why I held it close… I was prepared.

HSM: So where do you go from here?
   Maino: Preparing for the money, more hits more money!  I’m just happy being alive, being free and I have a beautiful new son. I’m grateful for having a career so I can provide for him, so he won’t have to grow up like I did and have to do sh*t that I was involved with. Yeah, you know?

HSM: What do you have to say to people that say Hip Hop is dead?
   Maino: Hip Hop is alive with me! Maybe it’s dead for them, but its alive and kicking for me baby! For real!

HSM: For the young men coming up that don’t have prospects, they can’t see light at the end of the tunnel, do you have any words for them?
   Maino: Keep believing in yourself. Though it may be a struggle, the fight never stops. The struggle continues, but we have to finish the game. Finish where WE started and finish what YOU start. Live by believing in yourself, keep grindin’, hustle hard man.

HSM: With the … presidential election… what do you think about … having a black man as president?
   Maino: I love it! Unfortunately I can’t vote. I’m a two time felon but I support change and I aint gonna lie. I admit it.. having a black president is good enough for me man. America should be about possibility and the guys not a “Uncle Tom” neither!
