The RI Antique Fire Apparatus Society (RIFAS) will host its 7th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus and Equipment Show, Sun. June 5 at Ninigret Park, Charlestown, Rhode Island.

Antique Fire Apparatus Show

CHARLESTOWN, RI – This is antiquing on a large scale. The RI Antique Fire Apparatus Society (RIFAS) will host its 7th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus and Equipment Show, Sun. June 5 at Ninigret Park.
The show runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable items will be collected for the Rhode Island Food Bank.
Antique motorized fire apparatus and fire memorabilia will be displayed along with a vehicle extrication demonstration and Fire Safety Smoke House for children to visit.
Shows such as this contribute to the unique character of South County, according to the South County Tourism Council. It appeals to parents and young children, as well as fire truck enthusiasts, car buffs and antique aficionados.
The iconic fire prevention symbols of Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog are scheduled to appear at the show. Hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks will be sold, as well as souvenir items.
