Cytorex Biosciences Inc., is executing Cancer research agreements with Venezuelan Universities

Cytorex Biosciences Inc., a Weston, Florida based biopharmaceutical company , announced today that is executing a research and development agreement through is Venezuela based subsidiary, Cytorex de Venezuela, with Universidad de Los Andes, located in the State of Merida.

“This bicentennial university has all the required facilities and specialized personnel to complete the pre-clinical phase for our lead antitumor compound Cytoreg®. Our agreement includes Toxicology and Pharmacology studies, as well as animal models for efficacy and mechanisms of action of Cytoreg® in a second stage”, indicated William J. Jimenez, Executive Vice-president of the company.
“This agreement started in 2010, and is moving forward in a very positive tone. The expected initial results will be shared with other Research Facilities and Universities. With the inclussion of additional scientists, a high level of added value is expected toward the development of this novel Ionic Therapy which has selective action in several cancer indications”, added Jimenez.
Jimenez concluded indicating that “Cytorex Biosciences, Inc. should be ready to publish the final results of the study, by the end of 2011” .
