Follow on Google News | Whole Foods Partners with Save A Dog, Inc. as Chief Sponsor of Paws in the ParkWhole Foods has been named as the Chief Sponsor of Paws in the Park, a benefit to save homeless pets.
By: PR First Whole Foods is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which it works. Several times a year, each Whole Foods store holds a community giving day (otherwise known as a “5% Day”) where 5% of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization. Recently, Whole Foods Market in Framingham, MA dedicated one of its 5% Days to Save A Dog, where they raised over $4400 to help place homeless pets in safe and caring homes. Marketing Team Leader, Pirjo Silen, contributed additional funds to qualify Whole Foods as the Diamond Sponsor of the Paws in the Park event. The event is for dog lovers and their pets and will raise money for homeless dogs. Some of the activities will include an Agility Try-out ring, Demonstrations, Parade of Adoptable Dogs, Doggie Games, face painting for the kids, a silent auction, food, Pet Photo Sessions, and Pet Massages. A scenic group walk with dogs and humans will take place beginning at 11am. “We thank Whole Foods and Pirjo Silen for their generous support of our efforts to save homeless pets,” said Shirley Moore, Founder and CEO of Save A Dog, Inc. “Their support makes this a better community for all residents including our animals.” About Save A Dog, Inc.
