Top Long-Term Care Insurance Agents In Each State Awarded

Awards were presented to top long-term care insurance agents in each state for their work to educate and protect consumers.

May 9, 2011 - PRLog -- The nation's top long-term care insurance agents and brokers in each state were recognized today for their commitment and results during the prior year.

The Long-Term Care Insurance Achievement Awards are presented annually to insurance professionals by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the Los Angeles, CA-based national professional organization.

According to Jesse Slome, AALTCI's executive director, some 40,000 insurance professionals across the country educate their clients and prospects about long-term care planning and offer products that can protect against the devastating cost of needing care.  "These professionals do not get paid for their time or efforts until someone decides to buy protection," Slome explains.  "Many work nights and weekends, or drive for several hours to meet with consumers.  They are deserving of recognition for their efforts and commitment."

The Association recognized 400 of the nation's top producers with the 2011 Achievement Award.  "While many of the award recipients have been dedicated professionals for 10 years or longer, a fair share are relatively new to the industry," Slome explains.

Long-term care has become more of a national issue over the past decade.  "As a result of better medical care Americans are living well into their 80s, 90s and even past 100," Slome explains.  "When you live a long life, the risk of needing costly long-term care is quite high and these planning professionals are the ones primarily responsible for educating and protecting individuals and their families."

The Association has posted a state-by-state listing of award winners on the organization's website.  Those interested can go to: http://www.aaltci.org/awards/2011-award-winners.php
