Follow on Google News | Every Student Should Be Given The Opportunity to attempt GCSE (High School) Mathematics earlyUsing unique system of teaching and academic support developed in part by the ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk programme, every student can pass Mathematics according to Chris Imafidon described by the BBC as the mentor to Britain's brainiest students.
By: www.excellenceineducation.org.uk Alison Wolf, a professor at King’s College London wrote the report which was accepted by the government today. Chris Imafidon who caught the global attention after all his children passed GCSE Mathematics at primary school age and his twins set world records in passing GCSE at the age of six, and Advance level Mathematics at the age of seven. All of these were achieved while they were attending regular state schools. He advocates the use of computer technologies and games to introduce every student to difficult mathematical concepts. In the last three years he has rolled out his unique system of learning to the ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk programme which has gone on to replicate the same level of success in inner city children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Chris Imafidon currently serves as an honorary board member of the programme According to him “If the so called 'difficult mathematical concepts' are gently introduced early most students will enjoy it – particularly if it comes through as a mere game. Leaving these concepts till teenage years turns such basic concepts into a totally foreign language. Secondly, at least 30% of the time should be spent presenting the relevance of each topic before the main thrust is introduced to students. Thirdly, over 45% of the concept should be introduced as games played against ability-based groups. Finally the core language of delivering any new concept across the curriculum should be computer based. Anyone teaching, or lecturing must understand that every SINGLE student is a genius and should be taught in groups based on their learning preferences, instead of grouping students in the alphabetically order of their surname, or some random method. Recent ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk results analysis has demonstrated that the performance of learning styles group doubles attainment and achievement levels. If this is repeated across schools, it will raise the levels in Maths and English and most students will pass GCSE Mathematics, or English at least one year early. Free seminar and workshop are available to any inner-city schools/colleges or students from "socially disadvantaged backgrounds ” END~ THE END # # # NOTES TO EDITOR For pictures & Interviews Call: Hannah Christian-Rivers (07968285848) Press Relation Dept, Excellence in Education (EIE) programme Email: info@excellenceineducation.org.uk www.excellenceineducation.org.uk NOTES TO EDITOR 1.
