Moriens: The Black Knight is a new fantasy novel by author Michael Russell Thierry a well known African American visual artist and muralist who has always as he stated to Comedian Troy Manning in a recent interview on Boston Morning Talk show Wake Up Boston. “…been interested in showcasing other cultures in my work” His latest work an Afro-centric  fantasy novella for teens does just that.  As part of a Trilogy Moriens: The Black Knight tells the story of Sir Moriens who is the son of Sir Agloval and his North African Bride Princess Belakane. The story has action, romance and political intrigue as well as a strong foundation in Arthurian legend as presented in 17th century french poetry which was the inspiration for this tale.
