Cost-effective solutions which can provide compliance in one (1) business day
** For Immediate Release**
Sacramento, California May 18, 2011 -- E*HealthLine  announced today the company’s E*Prescribing applications have standalone, or integrated with  Phoenix© Ambulatory Electronic Health Records (EMR)  and  ISIS©,  an integrated Hospital Information Management System, that will allow physicians to comply with the upcoming June 30 deadline that requires them to send at least 10 prescriptions electronically or be subject to a one percent payment adjustment to their 2012 Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) reimbursements.   E*HealthLine’s comprehensive integrated technology  is 2011/2012 compliant and has been tested and certified by InfoGard Laboratories, Inc. an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria for Hospitals and Electronic Health Records adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
E*HealthLine’s E*Prescribing©  is MIPPA compliant and can be implemented in a matter of hours via an online, with a one-on-one training session where a company trainer guides a member of a physician’s office staff through the simple steps necessary to achieve the required number of electronically submitted prescriptions. After training is completed, deadline compliance can be achieved in less than one (1) business day, depending on Medicare patient volume, guaranteed by the company. The solution must be implemented prior to June 15, 2011.
In November 2010, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced that beginning in 2012, eligible professionals who are not successful electronic prescribers may be subject to a payment adjustment. Section 132 of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA) authorizes CMS to apply this payment adjustment whether or not the eligible professional is planning to participate in the eRx Incentive Program.

The payment adjustment in 2012, with regard to all of the eligible professionals' Part B- covered professional services, will result in the eligible professional or group practice receiving 99% of the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) amount that would otherwise apply to such services. In 2013, the eligible professional will receive only 98.5% of their covered Part B-eligible charges if they aren't a successful electronic prescriber. In 2014, the penalty for not being a successful electronic prescriber is 2% resulting in eligible professionals receiving 98% of their covered Part B charges.
